The Deep Water Horizon investigative team appointed by the White House only has one member with any experience even close to engineering. One thread that does weave between the members is their association with Climate Control and Environmental issues.
Where are the mechanical engineers that have oil field expertise and those that actually inspect the rigs. I would venture to say not a one of them have ever been on a rig. This commission is stacked with Bias. These people were appointed to advance a policy not safety.
The question is if this were an aircraft accident would you ground all air traffic for six months to investigate one accident? Also, would the NTSB send members of the “Fear of Flying Association” to investigate or would you send Aeronautical engineers and Pilots to investigate?
The following are the members of the Drilling Commission appointed by the Obama White House to investigate the accident and make recommendations.
Frances G. Beinecke is currently the President of the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC), a non-profit corporation that works to advance environmental policy in the United States. Ms. Beinecke currently serves on the Board of the World Resources Institute and the steering committees of the U.S. Climate Action Partnership and the Energy Futures Coalition.
Donald Boesch is the President of the University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science. Dr. Boesch is also Chair of the Ocean Studies Board of the National Research Council and a member of the National Academies Committee on America's Climate Choices.
Terry D. Garcia is currently Executive Vice President for Mission Programs for the National Geographic Society. He is responsible for the Society's core mission programs, including programs that support and manage more than 400 scientific field research, conservation and exploration projects annually.
Cherry A. Murray is currently the Past President of the American Physical Society.
Dr. Murray’s expertise is in condensed matter and materials physics, phase transitions, light scattering and surface physics, including the study of soft condensed matter and complex fluids.
Frances Ulmer Fran Ulmer is Chancellor of the University of Alaska Anchorage
Ms. Ulmer is a member of the Aspen Institute's Commission on Arctic Climate Change and holds Board positions with the Alaska Nature Conservancy, the National Parks Conservation Association and the Union of Concerned Scientists.
William K. Reilly one the co chairs of the commission is a past Administrator of the EPA. Mr Reilly has a law degree from Harvard, which in the Obama Regime qualifies you as a Supreme Bureaucrat able to address any subject with a mouth full of marbles.
Senator Bob Graham graduated from Harvard Law School, served in the Florida legislator, served as Florida Governor and on to State Senator. Sen. Graham has no experience with off shore drilling or it's intricacies. How many Senator or Lawyers for that matter have set foot on a Off Shore oil rig?
So, the President reaches into his Who's Who Book of Harvard to form another commission of Washington Bureaucrats to increase government control by tearing the fabric of this nation into shreds. Surely this commission if allowed would recommend the end to all offshore drilling and the end of 150,000 Gulf Coast jobs.
